About Fai
People seek sex therapy for many different reasons.
You may be wondering whether what you’re experiencing is normal. Something may have changed in your sexual functioning, desire or relationship. Or perhaps you’re looking for a better understanding of yourself, your sexuality, or how to communicate your needs with a partner.
Whatever brings you here, my goal is to provide a space where you can explore your concerns without judgement, gain a clearer understanding of what’s happening, and develop practical strategies that are relevant to your life.
Understanding Is at the Heart of My Work
Sexuality is influenced by far more than one factor. Our biology, relationships, experiences, health, emotions and environment all interact in complex ways.
Understanding these influences can help explain why something has changed, why a problem has developed, and which approaches are most likely to help.
This is the foundation of my work. I combine more than 20 years of clinical experience with current research in sexual health, psychology and neuroscience to help clients better understand their experiences and develop practical, evidence-informed strategies that are tailored to them.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, practical and evidence-informed.
I believe that every person brings a unique combination of life experiences, relationships, values, health and biology to therapy. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with you to understand the factors that may be influencing your sexual experiences and identify strategies that are relevant to your individual circumstances.
Depending on your needs, our work may include education, practical exercises, communication strategies, behavioural approaches, mindfulness, or exploring the biological, psychological and relationship factors that contribute to sexual wellbeing.
My aim is not simply to help reduce symptoms, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of your sexuality, build confidence, and create meaningful and lasting change.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong interest in research and science communication. Through my articles and educational resources, I aim to make complex sexual health research accessible and understandable, helping people make informed decisions about their sexual wellbeing.
I value lifelong learning and regularly undertake professional development to ensure my practice reflects current evidence and best practice.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific sexual concern, navigating changes in your relationship, or simply wanting to better understand your sexuality, I look forward to working with you.
One-on-one sessions provide a space to explore your concerns at your own pace. Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, identify the factors that may be influencing them, and develop practical strategies that are tailored to your situation.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns, expectations and ways of relating that shape your sexual experiences. Drawing on evidence-informed approaches, we’ll identify practical strategies that help you better understand yourselves and each other, while creating meaningful change within your relationship.
I offer both in-person sessions at my Morley practice and secure online sessions via Zoom or telephone, making therapy accessible whether you’re in Perth, elsewhere in Western Australia, interstate or overseas.
Many people tell me they wish they’d reached out sooner. You don’t need to navigate challenges with intimacy and sexual health on your own. Whether you have unanswered questions, ongoing concerns, or simply want to understand your body better, I’m here to help.
