A light bulb went off within me about 20 yrs ago when I realized that I could become a Sex Therapist.
Little did I know that this defining moment would have me flying off to do a Psychology Degree followed by my Masters Degree (Sexual Health), so that I could specialize in Sexual Health.
I love the work that I do, the people that I meet and the amazing ‘AHA’ moments that change people’s lives everyday.
It pains me to think that so many people continue to struggle with the same problems year after year because they don’t realise that they can seek out help or they’re scared about the process.
For some unknown reason we believe that we should all just know about this sex stuff.
That it should come naturally.
That we should just know what to do.
I don’t know how or why anyone could possibly think that especially given that our sex ed is useless and most people don’t has access to real conversations about sex.
I’ve spend hundreds of hours studying this.
I still spend way too many hours dissecting journal articles. There is still so much to learn.
