A light bulb went off within me about 17 yrs ago when I realized that you could become a Sex Therapist.
I thought to myself, I can do that, I can talk to people positively and respectfully about their sexual health. I can talk about sex all day…
Little did I know that this defining moment would have me flying off to do a Psychology Degree followed by my Masters Degree, so that I could specialize in Sexual Health.
I love the work that I do, the people that I meet and the amazing ‘AHA’ moments that change people’s lives everyday.
I am passionate about helping as many people as I humanly can to live more passionate and fulfilling lives.
It pains me to think that so many people continue to struggle with the same problems year after year because they don’t realise that they can seek out help or they’re scared about the process.
I want people to know that their concerns are valid and real and that people like me have specialised knowledge that can help.
We grow up being told that we should know about this sex stuff, but I can tell you now that I have spoken to thousands of people just like you who needed some outside help, to help them heal and to help them access and create their desired experiences.
An athlete will spend years perfecting their throw or analysing how they run. Society has somehow accepted that even though running ‘comes naturally‘ to people. To be able to run well there are some skills and specialised knowledge that can be applied to help enhance a person’s performance.
We now find ourselves applauding their effort, their commitment and their focus.
The act of running may come naturally but knowing how to run well does not.
The human urge to come together, to bond and to desire someone sexually is a human instinct. However, what isn’t natural is living with daily stress, working in an office all day, having crazy financial stress, ill health and the media telling us that everyone can have an amazing orgasmic sex life without sharing the “how to” isn’t helpful. In fact it often leaves us feeling even more lost and confused.
How different would life be if some of the concerns surrounding your sex life weren’t stressing you out?
